The bold geometry of the weaving pattern is complimented by the variegated thick and thin cotton yarn, bringing to mind agate, sandstone, or rippling water. The weft yarn was hand painted, to resemble watercolor washes. When the yarn was woven, the colors started to pool creating unique patterns in the emerging blanket.
These throws are a joy to snuggle up in. The thick and thin cotton gives the fabric a textural dimension, adding to the coziness level. I love a great blanket. Especially when the blanket has a little bit of body to it. Wrapping up in them reminds me of a warm embrace and good memories. These would be a delight to have in your home. Due to the nature of this dye method, no two blankets (even in the same dye lot) will be exactly the same. Each will have it’s own unique color pooling.
